Open Gate Community Church

Our Mission is to be God's intersection of passion for Christ and compassion for His people in Northeast El Paso. We are striving to help people come to know Christ's love for them and compassionately guide them into the life that Christ has planned for them.

The three sets of verses which guide our ministries are:

2 Corinthians 5:17-19 (NIV)

¹⁷Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

¹⁸All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:

¹⁹that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

Galatians 6:2 (NIV)

Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Galatians 6:9 (NIV)

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Lead Pastor Bill Belgie and his wife Barbara

Our Senior Pastor is Pastor Bill Belgie and his wife of 31 years Barbara. He is a retired Army Sargent Major has been a member of Open Gate for over 20 years and has two adult children.

"Welcome to the Open Gate Church website. Our community is celebrating 50 years of ministry in Northeast El Paso, Texas in 2011. I am proud of what we have been able to do in the name of the Lord, humbled that they have called me to be the Lead Pastor, and thankful that God is allowing me to continue to be part of His work here. We are a diverse and unique blend of God's children and we look forward to continue serving Him for the next 50 years. I know He will as long as we continue to remain faithful to His call."
